Following the meeting which provided various updates on on-going committees and progress of the Hall renovations, the whole group in attendance enjoyed some food and above all great camaraderie.

  • Meet Marc Marifiote and Patricia Martocchia, two new members installed at last night's Watertown Sons and Daughters of Italy monthly meeting. Marc is from Cambridge and was sponsored by President Tony Mastantuono and Pat who is from Watertown was sponsored by her daughter, Ann-Marie Pettiglio. Vice president Bruno Viscomi presided during the installation. Also known as Lodge Piave Fiume 1036, the organization will be celebrating its 100 year anniversary in 2020. It is the location of the Piave river and the bridge where Italy entered the First World War against Austria and Germany and where the attacks occurred. The painting was made by past member Joseph Santoro. - "Il Piave mormorò non passa lo straniero"
